Vols Bilbao

By car:
From Rontegi, follow the A-8 direction Santander until you finds a deviation to the right with direction Getxo. Passing the bridge of Rontegi. When arriving at Derio, take the first exit direction  Mungía until you find the deviation for accessing  the airport.
 
Bus:
Buses connect the airport with the center. They depart every 30 minutes, from the center between 5.25 and 21.55 and from the airport between 6.15 and 24.00.

What to visit:
Ambitious architectural, and general infrastructure projects such as the Guggenheim Museum, the symbol of the city's renaissance, built by the Canadian architect, Frank O. Gehry, and opened in 1997, the Convention Centre the Euskalduna Concert Hall and Convention Centre, and other buildings, make this city to the driving force of social and economic development and it is the main factor in the modernisation of the Gulf of Biscay.
You should also visit the St. Nicolas church (1756), the Chavarri Palace, which is peculiar because all its windows and balconies are different, and at the Plaza de Unamuno you can hike up the 213 steps of the Calzadas de Mallona to reach the Basílica de Begoña.

El calendario festivo de Bilbao es muy completo en el que debemos destacar la Aste Nagusia, o Semana Grande, que comienzan el fin de semana posterior a la festividad de la Virgen de Begoña, el 15 de agosto . Son 9 días y 8 noches de diversión, en los cuales los fuegos artificiales iluminan la Villa todas las noches y se realizan una serie de conciertos y espectáculos teatrales, que están presentes durante toda la Semana Grande. La plaza de Vista Alegre acoge durante estos días una de las ferias taurinas más renombradas del Estado, y cada día, finalizada la corrida, centenares de personas desfilan en ambiente festivo hacia el Arenal.
